The 2026 Blendos Summer Basketball League opened this past Sunday with the Corporate B Division competing at Delhi Academy. Game Recaps

11:00 AM – Dante's Pizzeria + Team Blendos (Black) 103, Tino's Pizzeria + Philthy's Laundromat (Carolina) 49

Sunday, Week 1 | Delhi Academy

Dante's Pizzeria + Team Blendos opened the summer in dominant fashion despite starting the game with only five players. They built a 47-15 halftime lead and cruised to a 103-49 victory after Zach Harlem left early in the second half with an injury, forcing them to finish the game with just four players on the court. The Black squad remained highly efficient and overwhelmed Carolina with superior shooting, rebounding, and ball movement.

Game Flow Dante's/Blendos jumped on Carolina early behind hot three-point shooting and strong interior play, leading by 32 at halftime even while playing short-handed. Tino's + Philthy's struggled mightily from the field and had no answer for the Black team’s pressure. In the second half, Carolina made a small run, but Dante's/Blendos maintained control with only four players and finished strong.

The Black squad dominated the assist-to-turnover ratio and created a massive advantage in ball movement and second-chance opportunities despite playing with only five players for most of the game and finishing with just four. Carolina’s ice-cold shooting made it nearly impossible to stay competitive after the opening minutes.

Despite Vibbard winning the rebounding battle and recording more assists, the Black team’s ability to protect the rim and get to the basket proved decisive in overtime.
